Facebook slammed for rejecting ad featuring a plus-sized model

Facebook has apologized to an Australian women's activist gathering in the wake of obstructing a commercial highlighting hefty estimated model Tess Holiday in a swimming outfit.

The informal organization had told the gathering, called Cherchez La Femme, that the picture was rejected on the grounds that Facebook's rules don't permit wellbeing and wellness advertisements to portray a specific body weight as being either "consummate or amazingly undesirable," as per a screenshot presented on the gathering's page.

"Promotions like these are not permitted in light of the fact that they make viewers feel awful about themselves," a Facebook advertisements rep said in the message.

Rather, Facebook proposed a picture of somebody "running or riding a bicycle" may be more satisfactory.
